Community Housing

Reuth provides subsidized community housing to disadvantaged older adults who do not require nursing care and are entitled to rent assistance from the government. The community housing complex has 160 apartments, where approximately 185 disadvantaged older adults reside, many of whom are Holocaust survivors and new immigrants.

The community housing’s dedicated staff create a welcoming environment that provides a sense of security and belonging. In addition to receiving a comfortable place to live, our residents benefit from a variety of social services including one-on-one assistance from a social worker, enrichment classes, communal holiday celebrations, trips, help with apartment maintenance, and more.

Since the start of COVID-19 (when the needs of senior citizens became more acute), we have been operating a medical needs fund that helps finance dental care, medication, medical equipment (such as hearing aids), and complementary medicinal treatments for the residents. Even though the residents receive subsidies from governmental ministries and HMOs, they cannot afford even the smallest of copays without our assistance.
